Dominican Republic

Once ruled by Spain, the Dominican Republic shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti. Despite being a major tourist destination, the country remains marked by persistent socio-economic inequality. The good deeds of Christians do not simply involve preaching the Word of our Lord, but also kindness in action. Two members of our congregation recently traveled to the Dominican Republic to install water filters in an impoverished village. This January, Pastor Jack and five others from our congregation will continue impacting the global community by helping with the construction of a Dominican church. Pastor Jack will spread the message of Christ’s love to the local population by preaching, singing and witnessing. We are fully committed to this work for our Lord, and Antioch Community Baptist Church will be fully funding this mission of kindness.
